On May 13, 2022, Jumbo issued a recall for their product - Melk Chocopasta. The product is a milk chocolate spread with a UPC number 8718452449873 (Size: 400g).
The Jumbo company is based in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The company’s mission is to make tasty and healthy food: easy and accessible for everyone.
The product has been recalled due to presence of undeclared tree nut allergen - Hazelnuts. Health Canada suggests not to use, sell, serve or distribute it if you are allergic to hazelnuts.
The recall is regional and only affects Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba in Canada.
This is a second recall posted by Jumbo company in the last 30 days. Both the recalls are for undeclared Hazelnut in the product labelling.
